Description

Job purpose

This position will provide 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has outstanding results for our clients for over 14 years.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Travel/1099 Obstetrics Registered Nurse, to join our team to provide experienced healthcare providers to the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF), Navajo Area Indian Health Service (IHS).

Duties and responsibilities

  • Will require walking, standing, bending, and some lifting, e.g., to assist patients out of wheelchairs, move patients on and off examining tables or stretchers, etc.
  • Shall not have any work or health restrictions which could directly or indirectly interfere with the performance of providing services.
  • Should be able to comply with all immunization requirements; immunizations is a condition of employment. These immunizations are subject to change.
  • To include assignments and duties related to COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Should be able to provide patient care in accordance with the standards outlines by Centers for Medicare Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC), The Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Critical Access Hospital, health promotion/disease prevention (HPDP) requirements.
  • Must be able to provide a standard of care consistent with their professional qualifications, and similar to that generally provided by similarly qualified Registered Nurses within the State of Arizona.
  • Shall comply with all facility infection control and safety procedures and standards.
  • Shall complete chart notes, medical records, and other required records on the day care was rendered. This applies to patients they admitted as well as patients they provided care for.
  • Shall enter all lab, x-ray, and medication requests using the electronic health record.
  • Shall follow approved abbreviation guidelines.
  • Should be able to work continuous full-time assignments of a week or longer.
  • Should attend assigned meetings and participate fully as staff members.
  • Should comply with the Department of Health & Human Services Caregiver Identification Program and Uniform Allowances policy which assigns uniform colors by professional discipline.

Qualifications

  • Must have an Associate Degree from an Accredited Nursing School Program.
  • Bachelor’s in science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Thirty-six (36) months of Registered Nurse experience, with a minimum of twelve months (12) in the specialty
  • Must have a current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse License free from disciplinary actions.
  • Must have all current certifications.
    • Basic Life Support
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
    • Fetal Monitoring Certificate
  • May be required to work beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, holidays, and after regularly-scheduled duty hours on an as needed basis during emergencies.
  • May be required to perform duties with the normal scope of their employment that are not specifically outlined.
  • Must be able to provide a standard of care consistent with their professional qualifications, and similar to that generally provided by Registered Nurses within the State of Arizona.

Working conditions

Working conditions are within a normal office environment.

Physical requirements

Normal office environment mobility; sitting, walking, bending, stooping, standing, lifting a maximum of 25 pounds (greater than 25 pounds requires a two-person lift), turning, pushing. Normal office dexterity, to include; reaching, handling, grasping, to include typing/keyboard, and phone use.
