Description
Job purpose

To provide assistance with Quality Assurance at Vandenberg AFB, CA for 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over 13-years.

Duties and responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, directs, and implements innovative enterprise risk management programs to establish cost efficient risk handling.
• Establishes operational objective and work plans.
• Researches, develops, recommends, and implements strategies and programs for the risk management process
• Prepares risk assessments and presents senior management with a clear and consistent approach to mitigate risks in partnership with other team members
• Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives to mitigate company risk
• Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects
• Interacts with managers and peers on multiple projects.  Interactions involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or influencing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization
• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
• Participates in program development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects
• Assumes the responsibilities of the Manager of Risk Management in their absence.
• Ability to manage a geographically disbursed risk team and travel up to 20% across the enterprise
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which includes U.S. Citizenship or U.S. naturalization
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, risk management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Ten or more years of risk or finance analysis experience
• Experience working with risk and business impact analysis in such matters as planning, partnerships, contracts, and joint ventures; support to the Mission Assurance, Quality, and Environmental Health and Safety functions; liability and loss potential analysis
• Proficient in the use of personal computer, statistical software and business solution software 
• Fluent knowledge of Active Risk Manager (ARM) or equivalent software preferred
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal and briefing skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to exercise diplomacy within a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with specific emphasis on attention to detail
• Ability to incorporate and integrate information
• Ability to work independently
• Experience leading and supervising a team
• Experience working with DoD or government customers preferred

Working conditions

Working conditions are within a normal office environment.

Physical requirements

Normal office environment mobility; sitting, walking, bending, stooping, standing, lifting a maximum of 25 pounds (greater than 25 pounds requires a two-person lift), turning, pushing.  Normal office dexterity, to include; reaching, handling, grasping, to include typing/keyboard, and phone use.
