Job purpose
To manage the Accounting support of 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over 25-years now.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform Accounting duties:
- Provide full cycle accounting support and ensure accuracy and efficiency of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivables, payroll, and month-end financials.
- Manage Accounts Payable – Review records of accounts, input entries into proper accounts and prepare payments
- Accounts Receivable – Posting of deposits to PROCAS receipts journal
- Manage Payroll – pay employees, fringes, and statutory expense
- Process payroll and associated required financial entries including SCA entries, Garnishments, Payroll journal entries, Accounts Payable entries for taxes
- Manage PTO accrual entry
- Manage 401k calculations, upload, and matching entries to Employee Fiduciary
- Process various disbursements
- Banking, Cash Management, Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger for Reconciliation
- Ensure all due invoices are received and deposited.
- Project Status Reporting – Provides Ad hock analysis of various projects to ensure accuracy of hours and dollar amounts.
- Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy.
- Monthly Status Reports
- Schedule S updating, manage, and up-keep
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain US Government Secret Clearance
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with full cycle general accounting; knowledge of processing receivables, payables, cash applications and payroll
- Ability to multi-task and work independently, and have a sharp attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to effectively execute in a high demand environment
- Must have excellent communication, phone etiquette, customer service and people skills, as well as be able to multitask and stay organized
- Ability to effectively and succinctly communicate in writing and verbally
- Ability to operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers
- Experience in accounting systems such as PROCAS, QuickBooks, or similar software
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to create reports, spreadsheets, and presentations, labels using these tools
- Advanced understanding and use of Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, macros)
Working conditions
Working conditions are within a normal office environment.
Physical requirements
Normal office environment mobility; sitting, walking, bending, stooping, standing, lifting a maximum of 25 pounds (greater than 25 pounds requires a two-person lift), turning, pushing. Normal office dexterity, to include; reaching, handling, grasping, to include typing/keyboard, and phone use.
