Job purpose

To provide assistance with Navy Drug and Alcohol Deterrence Branch requires administrative support of the Drug and Alcohol Deterrence Program mission for 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over 14-years now.

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage clerical and administrative support work, including but not limited to, establishing and implementing clerical support procedures; maintaining the Drug Demand Reduction (DDR) program calendars and independently scheduling and arranging meetings, appointments and conferences.
• Receive, screen and redirect incoming telephone calls; coordinate and manage travel arrangements per Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Manage and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual travel budget. 
• Design and manage Drug and Alcohol Deterrence Branch filing system; provide assistance for internal operating procedures pertaining to administrative matters; and maintain ticklers for internal and external use; ability to utilize and understand DON Tacker with respect to taskers.
• Coordinate responses to correspondence by Drug Detection and Deterrence branch; track incoming and outgoing correspondence; proof read and correct outgoing correspondence for grammar and administrative accuracy; prepare and mail outgoing packages and correspondence.
• Maintain database for COE Workshops and Seminars; compile critiques for reference purposes and submission to Drug Detection and Deterrence Branch Head.
• Compile substance abuse statistics and trends for the Drug Detection and Deterrence Branch Head.
• Convert data, spreadsheets, charts and graphs into and from reports and databases.
• Submit monthly reports detailing activities of the past month, summaries of actions taken, anticipated problems and hours expended.
• Perform other administrative duties within Drug Detection and Deterrence branch and the scope of this contract.
• Work will be performed at (OPNAV 173) in Millington, TN

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain US Government Secret Security Clearance
• Personnel must meet the requirements of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) in order to be issued a common access card (CAC)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent 
• Possess minimum of 5 years of experience
• Ability to effectively and succinctly communicate in writing and verbally 
• Ability to operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers
• Ability to effectively execute in a high demand environment
• Communicate well both orally and in writing. Demonstrate ability to use computers, Local Area Network (LAN) communication and MS Office software products to include Outlook, Word, Access, Excel and multi-media software programs.
• Must have excellent communication, phone etiquette, customer service and people skills, as well as be able to multitask and stay organized
• Ability to multi-task and work independently, and have a sharp attention to detail


Working conditions

Working conditions are within a normal office environment.

Physical requirements

Normal office environment mobility; sitting, walking, bending, stooping, standing, lifting a maximum of 25 pounds (greater than 25 pounds requires a two-person lift), turning, pushing.  Normal office dexterity, to include; reaching, handling, grasping, to include typing/keyboard, and phone use.
