Description

Job purpose

 

To provide assistance with Information Technology Services for 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over 12-years.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Support avionics cyber tools research, development, and evaluation
  • Apply knowledge of the avionics bus protocols and cyber tools, methods, and technologies in the deployment of leading-edge solutions for the DoD
  • Experienced in avionics tester/installer to support software development and testing at customer facilities
  • Experience with aircraft avionics bus maintenance, knowledge of avionics software and good communication skills

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Military avionics training and /or certifications
  • Technical degree desirable but not required
  • Strong military 1553 avionics bus, standards, architecture, GPS, and transponders knowledge
  • Ability to effectively present technical information to reviewers in oral and written formats.
  • Able to lead evaluation and test efforts at Langley AFB and Norfolk Naval Station, VA
  • Able to support customer meetings at Langley AFB and Norfolk Naval Station, VA
  • Ideal Candidate will hold and be able to maintain a current Secret or higher-level active clearance

 

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Avionics flight testing and associated deliverables
  • Software development experience
  • Possesses knowledge of common avionics cyber vulnerabilities, counter measures and associated tools.
  • Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Self-starter, responsible for entire projects or processes within assigned technical area.
  • TS/SCI security clearance desirable

 

Working conditions

 

Working conditions are within a normal office environment.

 

Physical requirements

 

Normal office environment mobility; sitting, walking, bending, stooping, standing, lifting a maximum of 25 pounds (greater than 25 pounds requires a two-person lift), turning, pushing. Normal office dexterity, to include; reaching, handling, grasping, to include typing/keyboard, and phone use.
