Job purpose
To provide will provide 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over 14-years.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paramedic, to join our team to provide experience healthcare to the Great Plains Area Indian Health Service (HIS).
Duties and responsibilities
- Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
- Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Document patient information, condition, and treatment
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights.
- Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
- Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws.
- Provide basic life support and gather patient data.
- Job Specifics:
- Assignments shall require shifts of no more that sixteen (16) hours in a 24-hour period.
- Holidays and Weekends shall be considered regular hours.
Qualifications
- Must be certified and/or licensed through National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians or recognized state licensing agency.
- Shall possess cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certifications.
- Certifications and licensure shall be kept current throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill PRIHS requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
- Possess sufficient interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such, to be able to relate to a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficient with computer utilizing Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Should meet Continuing Education (CE) requirements determined by the Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) State of Licensure,
Working conditions
Working conditions are within a normal office environment.
Physical requirements
Normal office environment mobility; sitting, walking, bending, stooping, standing, lifting a maximum of 25 pounds (greater than 25 pounds requires a two-person lift), turning, pushing. Normal office dexterity, to include; reaching, handling, grasping, to include typing/keyboard, and phone use.
